Maple

This software is used for mathematical calculations such as numeric and symbolic computation, 2D image processing etc. A comparison with Mathematica is available at https://www.maplesoft.com/products/maple/compare/HowMapleComparestoMathematica.pdf. We have 10 maple network license for all users. User must be connected to IITK LAN, to get license from license server, to access the software.

This software is also available on all Linux lab system and Mathserver. All shell account users can login to these machines to use it. Users can also download and install this software on their machine. The following steps will illustrate the installation of Maple 17 on CentOS7 Linux operating system.
